Sophos is a global software security company who were looking to announce their very latest offering with a grand product launch. The client was eager to reach as many potential customers as possible by creating a product launch that could be viewed anywhere in the world.
First Sight Media were involved from the start, taking ownership of the project and managing every aspect of the detailed planning. Working closely with the client at Sophos, our team designed the set and staging which resulted in an impactful backdrop for the big launch.
As well as the staging, we provided a 4 camera setup for the event including one on an 18ft crane arm that was able to swing across the audience and pick-up exciting shots to help keep the online audience engaged. The 4 cameras were all hardwired to a live vision-mixing desk where our director was able to cut between cameras during the live stream to an online audience of 5,000 strong. In addition, we provided full audio support for both the online audience and the 150 people attending the live event.
In addition to the live stream, we edited a shortened (10 minute) highlights film which was uploaded to the company’s Vimeo account and distributed to press and media outlets across the globe. This really gave the event some legs by ensuring it reached an even bigger audience over an extended period of time.
